New Talent Comes to Dubai Fashion Week for A/W 2010- Day 4

This season, the SPLASH Emerging Talent Winners, Kalid Swaid, Banan Suliman Al Ryalat, Bisma Ahmen and Moza Al-Mazrou, displayed their incredible designs down the catwalk for all to see.

Kalid Swaid
Even though all the designers are very talent, there was one talent that stood out more
than the rest─Kalid Swaid, owner and creator of Studio Kalid in Bahrain.
Participation for in his second season at DFW, Kalid’s collection did not disappoint our
expectations of seeing his edgy and artistic vision come to life on the runway.

He used printed mosaic velvet fabric in winter hues, and made innovative clothing
designs that were so sexy and trendy!

Just take a look at the jumper...HOT, HOT, HOT!

Moza Al-Mazrou
I also fell in love with Moza Al-Mazrou’s collection. She does such a great job of
including elements from traditional Gulf attire with modern cuts.

Moza has definitely paid attention to today’s trends and has incredible insight to making
a collection that is wearable and ready to go beyond the boarders of the UAE.
I hope your ready Moza because your clothes are going to be loved by all!

The other two winning designers, Bana Suliman Al Ryalat and Bisma Ahman, both bring something new to the design table. Their ability to integrate their traditional clothing and reinvent each garment in a new and exciting way, is exactly what the world needs to see.

The art of fashion design is an expression of individual vision and creativity. All of these young and talented designers allowed us to see and experience their view of fashion; we appreciate all the hard work that went into making their dream become a reality at DFW A/W 2010. I can not wait to see what they will come up with next season!

Who is your favorite SPLASH Emerging Talent Designer?
I look forward to reading your comments…and don’t forget to
“Tell’m I told you!”
