October is Breast Cancer Awareness month around the world. Not too long ago, I lost my grandmother to this deadly disease, and I am asking everyone to support the cause for a cure. Some of us can start by giving what ever they can to a charitable organization for those effected by breast cancer, or donating hair to chemo patients, or buying products/service where a percentage of the proceeds goes to medical research, or by actively taking part in a local event to raise awareness about this disease, such as Dubai’s Annual Burjuman Breast Cancer Walk-a-thon (October 30th, 2009 at 8am).

I’m sure there are so many other ways to give support, or be supportive in the fight to cure breast cancer, but one more way is by simply wearing a pink ribbon or something fashionably pink during the month…and who says designer items can’t be part of it?

Above are my picks of “pink” fashion and accessories that could be worn for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I hope you like them…and I love to read your comments, so don’t forget to write one!

My colleagues and I, self-proclaimed fashionistas who just love you, are hosting a charity fundraiser for cancer treatment here in Dubai this Monday, October 26th at Zuma from 7 - 9 pm. We're sure you'll be exhausted from DFW but would be honored if you would join us and please spread the word (even though there are only two days left!).
