Dubai Fashion Week S/S2010-Day 1

Walid Atallah
Photos by Harry of Harry Cruz Photography

The name Walid Atallah is not a new name to the fashion industry...in fact, he has become a power house in the industry. This season, Mr. Atallah put on a fabulous show, featuring his exquisite gowns, and his Swaroski crystal corset tops on the wedding dresses. I loved the matching crystal purses and the head pieces. Any girl would be crazy not to want a Walid Atallah original creation made just for them!

MIMI Fashion Designs by Mariam Al-Mazro

Who ever says that a woman can't be modest and look beautiful at the same time will eat their words after seeing these elegant garments made by MIMI Fashion Designs! The owner, Mariam Al-Mazro, and her design team have really captured something new and exciting with the patchwork prints and the mix of unexpected fabric combinations. This collection is for the woman who has everything. Lovely work!

Bravo Barbara Bela

The dynamic trio, Barbara Bela (two sisters and their mother), came all the way from Brazil to show us all what 35 years of fashion design experience looks like. These classic and edgy designs where wonderfully executed with vibrant colors, rich fabrics and hand embroidery.

I loved the way the gowns and dresses flowed, as the models graced the runway. Brazil is a beautiful country, with beautiful people...and now we all know that they are creators of beautiful clothing. What a way to start DFW!

ORA by Rimalya
Photos by Harry of Harry Cruz Photography

ORA, by Rimalya, was a mix of classic, modern and modest style made for any woman. The prints are very Monaco meets the Pacific Island, and the fabrics are soft and vibrant. I can see myself walking down the beautiful streets of Cannes in one of ORA's colorful airy kaftans. I also love the fact that Ora made cocktail/short dresses for young women like myself.
Can't wait to see what Rimalya does next season!

Aartivijay Gupta

Aartivijay Gupta is a young designer who makes clothing that is both flirty and fun! The use of Eco-friendly fabrics in her clothing, like linen and terry voile, is a testament to her conscious design style. Bright and earthy tones of color where adorned with flowers and origami like embellishments. If you are a creative and fun loving woman, then these lovely dresses are for you!

New here,

I'm here online for the kids of Haiti.

I'm doing this for a non-profit haiti organization in which the main focus is to
creating an oppurunity for the kids in haiti. If anyone here wants to donate then this is the site:

They give kids in Haiti a positive outlook through education.

And yes, they are legitimate.

I greatly appreciate anyone's help

Online guitar lessons are a great way to learn guitar. Cheaper and more convenient than private studio lessons, the technology is now at a point where the difference in quality is nonexistent and actually has many advantages.

The freshly introduced iPad of Apple is amazing, tremendous and fabulous computing machine. It is super high quality, super responsive and super processor. This technology is most advanced version ever developed.

Apple iPad has excellent surfing speed as you can quickly flick through multiple pages tapping each on a block. And unlike the iPhone you now have complete webpages without much effort.

Depending on what your destination is and how long you plan on making your trip for, the airfare may be the priciest expense. Because of this, finding a great deal on the airfare becomes extremely important. The more money you are able to save on the plane tickets, the more money you will be able to use toward your actual vacation.

When it comes to purchasing your airline tickets, the sooner the better. This goes for basically anywhere you plan on traveling. When you purchase a ticket sooner, lets say several months before the trip, there will be less of a demand, which will drive the price of the ticket down. However, on the flip side, as the day of the desired flight approaches, the flight's seats will begin to fill up. As fewer and few seats become available, the higher the demand will be, which will drive the price up. Booking the flight in as far advance as you can may save you hundreds of dollars in the long run.

Flying during the middle of the week is generally the cheapest time to fly. Fewer people travel during mid week than on Friday through Sunday. If at all possible, fly out on a Tuesday or Wednesday. You may actually find prices significantly less expensive on the Wednesday than the Sunday of the same week.

Looking for airfare online will probably be your best be at securing the cheapest possible flight price. There are multiple booking agencies which specialize in finding the cheapest airfare. However, to save time, go to Bing.com, which offers a comprehensive flight search option. Bing will search other travel sites (Expedia, Priceline, Hotwire, etc.) and display the cheapest flight form each site. From here you will be able to decide which website offers the best deal.

Students can often find discounted airfare by visiting STA.com. This is the Student Travel Association, and it can sometimes find less expensive airfare for the traveling student. This isn't always the case, but it doesn't hurt to look.
