A Love Affair Night with Aiisha & Victoria Casal

Tonight was a great night in Dubai for good fashion fun! I attended the exclusive "Love Affair" event at Dubai Mall, featuring Aiisha Ramadan's Spring/Summer 2010 clothing line and Victoria Casal's jewelry collection. These two women came together and put on a fantastic show (for those who were lucky enough to get invited)! Their collaboration was a marriage made in heaven...and placing the runway stage on the Dubai Mall Ice Rink, was genius!

As soon as we walked into the venue for this spectacular soiree, I knew that we were in for a special treat! Each guest was offered a pink decorated cupcake...how sweet! The decor was pretty-gold chairs flanked the stage on each side, pink fabric was everywhere and two gift bags where placed on every seat for the guest.

The event began with a famous opera singer and an ice skater performing a magical number together (she took to the ice, while he sang). The runway show began right after the performances, and I'm happy to report that it was well choreographed. The dresses/gowns were lovely, the Manolo Blahnik shoes where perfectly matched and the sexy models looked like they just stepped out of a 1960's Vogue magazine.

The show ended magically with snow falling from the sky onto the stage (it was just foam), while the models walked right through it...how angelic! It was truly a night to remember, and I hope they do it again soon!
