Video Invitaiton for Grad Party 09

Hey everybody...I finally finished my video invitation! It was so much fun and so funny to make. I had to do it over and over again at least 20 times. I am glad I'm going to college for fashion and not communications. LOL

Anyway, if you want to know what I'm wearing, it is a little silk dress from a Chinese designer that my mom picked up for me a few months ago. So, let me know what you think of my video! It's OK to laugh...I'm laughing with you. :)

Villa Moda Is Back Again!

Villa Moda which used to be located in Emirates Towers is back in Dubai! It is now located in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).The privet opening took place on the 11th of May and is now open for business! Villa Moda is one of the hottest places to shop for all the latest collections from top designers. I have not had the chance to get out much since I’m preparing for exams, but I will be checking it out soon! Hope to see you guys there!!

Kitsch Cupcakes It Is!

Kitsch Cupcakes ARE as good as they look!! I took a trip there not too long ago....and I gotta tell you..They are some of the best cup cakes I have ever had in Dubai! Not only are the cup cakes great but Kitsch is also a great place to spend time with your friends! Kitsch Cupcakes is located on Jumeirah Beach Road in Dubai.

Pull & Bear

With all the studying I’ve been doing lately, I did get the chance to hang out this week and do a bit of shopping! I purchased a few T-shirts from Pull & Bear! If you are a Dubai Diva with a New York Upper Eastside mentality like myself, then you will add at least one of these fabulous creations, by designers Salma Khan and Amir Adnan, to your closet!

Salma Khan’s flirty dresses remind me of something that Sara Jessica Parker’s TV character “Kerry” (Sex in The City) would wear while walking down the street shopping on Madison Avenue on a sunny day. I love the movement of the garment and the vintage inspired printed fabrics. All her designs are ultra chic and say, “I’m rich, stylish, and fabulous, and I don’t apologize for it!”

Amir Adnan, on the other hand, offers a Dubai Diva (or an Upper Eastside Girl) a more glamorous approach to “a night on the town.” Imagine yourself walking down the red carpet of the Dubai Film Festival, or entering a gala at the Museum of Natural History in New York wearing an Amir Adnan creation like the one shown above…you would be named one of the best dressed of the evening guaranteed!

I really do love these designers. I too hope to add their clothes to my growing closet.

New York City Shopping

One of my readers asked me if I knew of any places where she could shop in New York City and not brake the bank...well I had to think about it and came up with some places you all might be interested in if you ever visit my home town.

Great Districts to shop: 125st in Harlem, Chelsea, Soho, Greenwich Villiage, Lower Eastside, Chinatown, Canal Street, Delancy Street, Houston Street, The Essex Street Market, Fulton Street in Brooklyn, Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, 7th Avenue Park Slope in Brooklyn, Fordum Avenue in the Bronx, and Jamaica Avenue in Queens. (There are more.)

All of these locations are great for finding uniques boutiques and bargains.

My Anna Sui!

So... A while back I posted a few pictures of the Anna Sui SS09 collection. All her runway looks are just Fabulous! I had to have one. Who wouldn’t want one!? Anna Sui is amazing with a capital A! During Dubai Fashion Week, I had the pleasure to meet and smooze with HSY’s designer, Hassan Shehryar Yasin and his lovely sister. Hassan (if I may be as bold to use his first name) is a very handsome and nice guy, as well as a true visionary in the fashion design world. His work is impeccable to say the least, and I absolutely loved his couture collection. One of my favorite pieces, is the Red Velvet Military inspired Jacket. The color is bright, it is structured perfectly and the velvet must feel fantastic to touch. It is lux to the max, and I want one! So, if you’re reading HSY…please send me one in a size 2! LOL No…really!

These three girls are do'in great thing and are go'in places! If you haven't heard of 77th Street Productions, NOW YOU HAVE! Anna is the make-up artist extraordinaire, and Cristina and Mariyah are the fabulous photographers. They are located in Dubai. I have been working with them recently and love their work.
